Please note that it is always said that one cannot eat a whole elephant at one sitting. So it is for truth. A little of the truth at a time is better for the digestion than the whole truth at once.
I knew a man who tried to eat a whole elephant in one sitting. He didn't succeed but he did his best to disprove the theory. Just goes to show, an elephant is a real mouthful. Truth in stages can work, I agree. I think it's better to come straight out with the truth, so as to maximise the impact on that person.
Telling the truth is paramount to business success and should be lauded above all other aspects of business. It is right that it is brought to our attention.
