Imaginations, extract from The Leader Board
THE reason our imaginations are so powerful is because our minds cannot tell the difference between something that happens in 'reality' and something we imagine with emotional intensity. Psychologists have known this for years, and yet it is only recently that we have realised the full impact this can have. It opens up the realities of guided visualisations (taking people into their ideal future, in their minds, guiding them to work how they got there, and bringing them back to today, armed with a complete plan for achieving the future of their dreams). It allows us to explore this thing we call reality in totally new ways, and most importantly, it allows us to act 'as if'. Let your mind take you into your ideal future.

There is nothing we possess greater than the ability to imagine. Our minds are what make us as indicated in the recent poll about whether happiness is a state of mind. We can think happy and be happy. We can also imagine ourselves in a situation and it helps us when we come to be in that position. We have already visualised it. I am a great believer in us using our mind rather than the other way around.
I love allowing my mind to think about something. That's what they're there for. Believing I am going to wion something helps. Even though I don't win much.
Imagination is the key to achieving. If you can't imagine what it is you want to achieve then you've got no chance of achieving it. It's like a golf shot, you can think about where you want it to go and then try and hit it there. Or a penalty in a game of football, visualise scoring and you will have a better chance of doing so. Or a rugby penalty. Jonny Wilkinson spent hours and hours every day practising and visualising a ball soaring up between the posts. He became the world's best goal kicker. It works for so many people so we can all make it work for us provinding we let our imaginations run wild.
I do like a man with a lot of opinions Chris and posting three responses to the article in different formats is beyond the call of duty. Thanks for the feedback.
Wow, Clive, how spooky is that, as I look at my post go up, you are on the site. I will email you at clivebarrett@nakedleader.com and maybe we could corespond there, or let me have your phone number when I email and we can chat. There's something I need to ask you from a previous post about two weeks ago.
That's what I love about this site, the interactive part of it. Feel free to email me, look forward to hearing from you.
