Increase your profit, not your workload

Dentists had it just right. When they went private, they were able to still do work on the national health while increasing their prices. That way, they got rid of the dead wood and did less, for more money. Genius. That is the type of business to be in.

Sometimes, it's not worth rducing your price because you have to sell a huge amount more, on a sliding scale, to make sure you make the same profit. In a niche market it would be lovely to say, actually, I'm putting my prices up, because I give a quality service or produce a quality product.

That way, they might lose business in one way, but they will gain in another as those people who value the product will stick with them.

Turnover for vanity, profit for sanity.
