Take ownership
IF we don't take ownership of our lives, then someone else will. When things don't seem to be going our way, we have to be persistent, see the positive, or perhaps simply look in the mirror.
One very effective way to put this into fast practice is to write a letter to the single person who will play the biggest part in your future success. The person who owns your life. That's right – you .
Write a letter to yourself about anything you wish –a commitment to achieve a specific outcome, how you feel about the future, or as a contract that in the future you will make different choices and decisions. Write it, post it and read it. It is an amazing experience.

We have to do whet we want to do ourselves. Nobody else is going to change our lives, we need to do it ourselves. Wonderful though ourminds are, they can also get us into trouble if we're not careful. Be positive.
I agree that ownership of the mind and what we do comes from within. We can do whatever we want which is why I suscribe to the naked leader theory. I love the mind. It is a wonderful thing as has a great bearing on how we feel.
there's a lot of truth to be found in children and I have often found letters from my children to themselves when they were younger - encouraging themselves and supporting themselves. It is more powerful then postive suggestions written in isolation on a piece of paper - actually write a froma letter to yourself as someone else would, put it in the post or get someone else to put it int he post at some time in the next few days or weeks - you decide and see what happens when it arrives. You will kow that letter was written with the absolute best intentions and love.
I am going to do exactly what you say and write a letter. Will keep you posted.
Mary you are one of the most positive people ever! I hope you don't do everything you are told to do you know what your mother told you!
