Thought for the month, extract from The Leader Board
NO event has any meaning other than the meaning we choose to give it. This is perhaps the most powerful phrase you will hear in life. Because it turns everything upside down. It give you complete command over what is happening around you. It enables you to stop and ask the question, 'which of these many realities serve me best?'

Exactly, the event may mean nothing to some people but it does to otehrs. A school sports day is not a major event to anybody in the grand scheme of things unless you are a parent of a child taking part and then it is your universe for those few minutes.
Events can be big or small to whoever is affected by them. I enjoy putting greater emphasis on certain events purely because they are what you make of them.
Like I said, it depends on who you are as to wther an event is important. If you are selling strawberries at a local fete, then that is a big event for you while it is a nothing event for all but those who are attending the fete.
Olie the man says, an event is only as a big as the emphasis we place on it.
