Action for the Month

CHANGE the way you talk to yourself. Many people believe the happiness in your life comes down to how you communicate with yourself – your internal dialogue.

Think of phrases you enjoy hearing and repeat them silently to yourself throughout the day. No one else need know you are doing this, except you will have a huge, knowing grin, and feel fantastic.

Remember you have a conscious mind and an unconscious mind. You need to massage your unconscious mind’s ego. Employ a can do attitude and your unconscious mind will instinctively know how to make it work. Try it.

    Talking to yourself as a motivating tool is helpful. I have tried it in situations that are pressurised. look at Steve Davis in the snooker. He talked to himself all the way through his win against Higgins. It was his self belief and his desire to keep going that helped him along the way.

    I'm not sure about the value of directing readers of this article to the Wikipedia definition of words. I think most people know what the words mean, and would rather know what Naked Leader thinks about the effects of one's internal dialogue and the influence of the unconcious mind upon one's behavior and results.
