REDUNDANCY has become a realisation for many, however, it is important to remember, it is your job that has been made redundant, not you.
If it has happened to you, then take ownership of your situation, today. Ask yourself if there is somebody out there who is in poorer or more challenging circumstances than you who has gone on to secure a job? If so, then it could happen to you.
Keep applying for work, or, put your big idea to the test. Fate has intervened to take away your job so use your redundancy money to fund phase one of your new business. Take ownership and go and make it happen. Now.

Thanks for this Clive. Many people (once they get over the initial shock) find it a good thing for them.
Thank for this but some times it is not that easy
Ben it may take a little longer but its worth it in the long run
My friend was made redundant and she found it made her rethink her career and now she enjoys her new job far more – she has gone into teaching.
That's often the way.
Many people have found redundancy a blessing in the end. I know that's a weird thing to say.
Redundancy can be a make or break time in one's life. I have experience of a friend who thought it was the best thing that ever happened to him. You can make it work. Nobody said it was easy, however.
I think you can make it work for you. There is opportunity and if fate brings that opportunity to you in this way, ie, by losing your job, then that is a sign to grab it with both hands.
Make it work for you. That's what is important here. If you have the guts to start out on your own then follow your belief. Often, redundancy can help you on your way. The decision is sort of made for you.
