You have to remember that golf isn’t a perfect game. It’s about focussing and getting a small ball in to small holes using a set of golf clubs.
At no point does it say you have got to have perfect swing. Because you’ll never find a perfect swing, other than the one you’ve got.
You assume that when you hit a good shot you did everything right and that when you hit a poor shot you did everything wrong.
Tiger has got the perfect swing, for him.
Ernie has got the perfect swing, for him.
You have got the perfect swing, for you.
It’s like walking.
We all walk differently.
But you walk perfectly for you.
And I walk perfectly for me. That’s all that matters.
The job is get from A to B. Not to decide how to walk perfectly.
It’s really about exploiting the golfers capabilities. Irrespective of what level they are.
I want to find out the skills that you’ve got.
If you are a good player I want to find out whether you can top it. Can you hit it a bit lower down and thin it? Can you just catch the ground?
Can you hit the inside left of the ball and send it right and can you hit the outside right of the ball and send it left? Can you just miss it on the inside and outside? Can you just miss it on the top?
Because that takes great skill.
