Thought For The Week

REMEMBER that taking short breaks in the office will allow you to assess how things have been going so far while giving you the chance to fine tune the rest of of your day.

It is so important not to live life at 100 miles an hour, even at work, as you have to take stock, in my opinion. There are people in our workplace who sit there all day and they don't take a break and you can tell because it grates on them for the afternoon.Their productivity is lessened too as there is not the attention to detail you would expect because those people have not got the capacity to keep up a high standard if they are working no stop.Never try and continually justify why it is you work long hours. It's a sense of insecurity. Others get bored of it too.Just take a break. It will be beneficial to everybody if you do.

This is something I actively encourage. If you don't have a break your well-being is affected and that will have an effect on your working output. It's that simple.

Living life at 100 miles an hour is an occupational hazrd for a lot of people and there is very little they can do about it.I do think there is a time for reflection though and agree it heightens productivity levels. It is also great for a person's sanity to take a break.
