NOW, more than ever in business, it is the time to get on top of the numbers. Numbers are a sympton of a business. They indicate whether it is well and healthy, or sick.
In a recession people might not want to look at the numbers in case they don’t like what they see. The best advice I can give is to keep an eye on them at all times.

I have read Deborah Meadon’s book and it gives a fascinating insight into the workings of business without going down the ‘look at me’ route. She gives sound advice and I think it is the best of the Dragons’ Den books.
I agree. The numbers are what count. Working in a bank I know that! Thankfully it’s not my business!
Being in business is about making money. That is the be all and end all. Otherwise, why would you go into business in any case.
